Korean Tea Making Class at O'Sulloc Tea House Bukchon

Hello Everyone!

My name is Garrett Kishaba, and I’m a summer intern from Davis, California, working with Nicole and Bonica for about a month in Marketing & Operations.

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had so far was spending an afternoon at the O’Sulloc Tea Making Class in Bukchon. The tea house itself is tucked inside a three-story Western-style building connected to a traditional hanok, right in the heart of Bukchon Hanok Village. Built in 1966 as a private home, it was restored and expanded by AmorePacific in 2018, keeping its original charm while adding modern touches. The renovation finished in 2021, and now it’s one of the most beautiful tea houses I’ve ever seen.

When it came time to brew, the steam from the cups carried a comforting aroma. The first sip was smooth and slightly sweet, and it made me slow down and appreciate the moment — a reminder of how scent and taste work together to create lasting memories.

If you’re visiting Seoul and want a peaceful yet cultural experience, I highly recommend the O’Sulloc Tea Making Class in Bukchon. It’s the perfect way to learn about Korean tea traditions, meet interesting people, and take a break from the busy city.
